So me and my mum rejoined Slimming World last night and I feel more positive than ever. We went last year and I lost about 12lbs but me with the “great” ideas decided I would like to give something else a try and things went downhill from there!!
I am now heavier than EVER - 17st 4lbs!! 242lbs - which was pretty shocking. At each stone I say to myself “oh I will be ok as long as I don’t go into the next boundary” when I was 15 stone I never thought I would go above 16st and at 16st NEVER imagined being over 17st so things HAVE to change or I am just gonna get bigger and bigger and will be over 18st before I know it!!
Started properly today and I am doing really well
I used some low fat cooking spray to fry a couple of eggs on wholemeal toast, followed by a nice bowl of grapes, and for lunch a big plateful of pasta with a sauce of passata and red pepper with a sprinkling of herbs. Lunch really was delicious, and completely free of “syns” on my “green” days. I also used one of my “healthy extras” to put 28g of cheddar cheese in there making it even more yummy.
My main problem with weight watchers was hunger and it just isn’t an issue with this diet. For dinner I am having a jacket potato with some beans and another “healthy extra” of cheese and if I get hungry later I will have some fruit
I feel good. I KNOW that I have to make changes if I am gonna get anywhere and I am finally able to accept it.
I know in the back of my mind where I wanna be at my goal but I am just gonna focus on getting healthier rather than specific numbers.
My main problem at the moment is exercise. I’m coping with my chocolate obsession quite well, haven’t really thought about it at all today but getting active is quite a big step for me. Me and my mum are doing a bit of walking but not really regularly at the moment so we will have to step it up! My boyfriend is really interested in going bike riding as well so I am hoping to do that with him once a week, and when the school term ends and my friend Beth is back from college we can start swimming again
but does anyone have any suggestions for what to do in these early stages to introduce exercise into my lifestyle again?? That would be great
Let me know how you guys are doing and if you wanna “buddy up” and support each other.
Looking forward to meeting some new people and getting back in touch with some current buddies so we can all help each other along!
Lots of love to you all and good luck everyone!! x
